“Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.”

Psalm 66:16

We’ve all stood to give a praise report for the unexpected check in the mail, for a new job, for the many blessings of the Lord in our lives.

There’s another kind of testimony however, the ones we gain by persevering through a testing time. A trial. A valley. A battle. The kind that we can give only because we’ve been broken.

Those particular testimonies are extra special. When we testify that God brought us through, and of all the things we learned in the valley, and how in the midst of the valley we gave up things we were holding onto…those times of testifying are victorious. They are priceless.

Thank God for the hills and valleys, the darkest nights and the joy and growth which comes from growing in the midst of them!

Everyone is thankful to be on “this side” of the struggle, but only those who have truly gained during the trial will count the lessons and victories gained in the night time as worth it. No, they’re not necessarily thankful for what happened during it, but more so thankful for how they were changed through the process. Because God never wastes a valley or a hurt.

These individuals write songs, sing songs a little differently, praise and worship the Lord a little more intensely, grow and mature in the Lord…and can testify and share about how the Lord brought them through and they wouldn’t take nothing for the journey now.

These testimonies are monumental! Get yourself one of these kinds! You’re life will be better for it and you’ll be forever changed, grateful and humbled. There’s a big possibility someone else’s life will be touched too, because of your testimony. It’s not such a bad thing to be broken when God gets all the glory.

Can somebody stand up and testify?!

God bless you wherever you happen to be on this journey ~
