"The Lord upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down."

Psalm 145:14

I posted it on social media yesterday,

"Thankful God is always there to carry us into our tomorrows."

And, I just cannot stop thinking about it still today. Honestly, don't we all occasionally experience the need to be picked gently up and held close?

Think about a small child standing in front of you, hands lifted in the air, silently asking to be scooped up. Even my little pooch interrupts my walk from the living room to elsewhere in my home, but jumping up with all her might. She just wants to be picked up and loved on!

I can relate to needing to be picked up some days, what about you?

I picture a hen gently gathering her brood closely under her wing. I can see a shepherd tenderly holding a lamb close to his heart. I can see a mother caressing her newborn baby and swaddling it securely. Even a small toddler holds her baby doll close. Can you see these with me?

Yes, I'm so thankful God is always there to carry us into our tomorrows. No matter what's going on in our world, He's there with all the tenderness we'll ever need. I believe He goes ahead of us and makes every situation we'll face in that day bearable. Even though it may seem unbearable and we feel we'll never make it under the load; we can have confidence that He won't put more on us than we can bear. Regardless of what it looks or feels like, God won't make us face tomorrow alone.

He's a great big God and has no problem carrying us - and our problems - through any valley.

Oh, my Lord, you are ever so faithful to me! Sovereign. Capable. Able.

I remember an old song, "If He carried the weight of the world, upon His shoulder, I know my brother/sister, that He will carry you." What confidence we can have in knowing we're not alone, and we don't have to walk without Him holding our hand...or holding us close to His heart until we can get our bearings. Period.

What situation are you facing today? What season of life can you look back and see where God was faithfully there to be sure you made it through? What did He whisper to you in your down time? How did He make you feel when you knew you were the weakest you'd ever been and He was your only hope?

I'm thankful God is a gentleman. A good father. A great friend. A deliverer. A problem solver. A prayer answerer. I know this...without Him, I CANNOT make it. I might be fifty plus years old, but sometimes I feel like a teary-eyed, five year old holding my arms up to my Daddy for support, protection and encouragement. I'm so thankful the Lord never disappoints and He never leaves us to fend for ourselves when we call upon Him. Talking about security!

I don't know about you, or what you're facing today; but I don't want to try to do it all on my own. I lift my hands and praises to the One who holds my today in His hands - and will carry me carefully into my tomorrow.

He'll do the same for you too, my friend. Call out and have faith!
